Not sure if we can go any bigger than what we did this time! Mark built three more fish for Costa, among them a Steelhead Salmon, a Bonefish and an 11 foot Bluefin Tuna. Check out the impressive ‘making of’ and the stills from this series. We’re now up to 8 fish. Still no CGI, still no digital imaging, just fantastic art direction, model making and a few lighting tricks up my sleeves to capture each of them in-camera, in a single shot.
Looks like the Costa fish swam into ‘Communication Arts Advertising Annual 2011’! This year, the distinguished panel of jurors selected 141 winning projects from 4793 entries. The fish made it all the way upstream, into the small pond of 2011’s best advertising of the year. Thanks and congratulations to Tim Cole, Dave Holloway and Mark Borow.
Yes, this is real. No CGI, no digital imaging. Exceptional model making by artist Mark Borow and a little bit of lighting. This project originated at McGarrah Jessee Inc., thanks to the remarkable work of Creative Director Dave Holloway and Art Director Tim Cole.
