Very happy to announce that my work was selected again for the Communication Arts Photography Annual this year as well as for the London-based Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards. Couldn’t be happier to be among such a select few talented photographers. I’ll let the lovely blog post by my agent do the talking for now…
The brief for this series was pretty straight forward: Maker’s 46, shot on red – bold. Together with the agency, we were able to expand on this concept quite a bit. We incorporated the iconic red wax from the seal of the bottle as the main visual element that ties everything together. Megan’s wax melting & pouring skills for all the surfaces / backgrounds as well as her hand made miniature props were really quite impressive…! Even Graphis concurs and recognized the ads with a gold and silver award in this year’s Graphis Advertising Annual 2015.

Chosen by Resource Magazine to receive a Phase One IQ 180 and 645DF+ Medium Format Camera System for the month of December, as the winner of their ‘Streamline your Workflow‘ contest -> view fancy article here. Many thanks to Digital Transitions, Phase One, DF Studio, Gotham Imaging and Resource Magazine! Looking forward to show you what we are going to use this camera and digital back for! With 80 megapixels and a raw file size of 229 mb, I will have to buy some more hard drives for storage, it seems…
Very happy to be part of this select group of photographers again. Hoping to meet many of them during ‘The American Photography 28 Party’ on Friday November 9th 2012. To see all of the selected and chosen images, visit AP28.
Looks like the Costa fish swam into ‘Communication Arts Advertising Annual 2011’! This year, the distinguished panel of jurors selected 141 winning projects from 4793 entries. The fish made it all the way upstream, into the small pond of 2011’s best advertising of the year. Thanks and congratulations to Tim Cole, Dave Holloway and Mark Borow.
